Yes, this is a huge project....but something is finally getting done. It is a solution, with action-oriented plans and funding opportunities, and institutional ideas and strength behind it. I appreciate the heritage concerns - those are classic buildings, one of a kinds - but where is the money to fix them? Where has it been? Where is the political will? There have been 30 years of ideas and talk as they have deteriorated....

Look for new concepts to materialize shortly, that powerfully capture the needs of the community and the focus to recapture the vitality of an urban downtown, family friendly environment.

Hey! Thanks for reading. I was inspired to create this blog out of continued frustration with the environment in Brantford right now. I have a large list of topics to review, and ask for your patience as I develop my blogging skills. This is my first attempt, although I have a second blog ready to begin once I set up a list of topics for it.

For this one, I will choose to remain anonymous, but will share links to the local Brantford sites, blogs, news, etc. that I follow and have access too.

There are several goals for this blog:
1) Primarily, to vent frustrations
2) Work out ideas
3) Develop solutions
4) Develop positive ideas for the redevelopment of Brantford
5) Provide an insider's view to some significant issues in Brantford
6) Develop my writing skills in preparation for additional education and more public writing.
